It Always Multiplies

No matter where you go one thing always multiplies...your laundry. So, when we are back at the Training Center some of our (my) time is spent washing clothes...then each of us hang up our laundry. Electricity is expensive here, so instead of using the dryer we let it dry on the clothes rack. How wonderful this luxury is, especially when I return from the courts and my clothes are soaked and my socks are stained burnt orange.

An Early Afternoon Outing

Gabriella, Whitney, and Robert.
Paula with her girls.
Casey...Levi may have you wrapped around his finger...but Rebecca has Bogdon wrapped around her little finger. She is a daddy's girl!

A Train Trip To Tecuci

Every small village we passed through had one of these piercing the skyline: A Romanian Orthodox Church.
We went to an area of the city where there was a beautiful park with many flowers and exotic birds and many shaded eating establishments.
This is the entrance to the train station in Tecuci

This is the Baptist Church in the city.
Along the way, the train stopped at every village community. Some were like this...
...and others were like this.
This is a farm house along the way as we were returning back to Galati. I would like to post a few more photos, but it takes a while to upload the photos. Tomorrow evening we get to hit the streets with Randy and his group working in Z12.

Brought Back To Reality

We went to the church in "The Valley" this morning.

The church is the white building in the upper right hand corner with all the glass. It sets at the top of the main pathway that people walk into and out of The Valley. It was probably in the mid 80's outside with a light breeze and quite a bit warmer inside...but the people came to worship inspite of the conditions. We sang, listened to the service in Romanian, and were able to read from our Bibles the scripture passages. We need to truly pray for our missionaries and their families while they are serving in foreign lands...Our team will experience this for only a short time but they live with it every day. It made me think to myself...I wonder how many of us attending church/church activities would continue to go if we were unable to understand what was going on. We pray shallow prayers to God about our missionsries in foreign lands instead of lifting them up in true communication with God (I am as guilty as the next person). They endure hardships not only on the field but ones they can do nothing about at home (except pray). I believe one of the essential things needed on the mission field is a connection from American churches to encourage our missionaries...I believe this is probably one of the most vital things our team can do.

One of the many streets in Z6.
As the Raines get ready to go on the mission field, how we need to begin praying for them right now for the strength and endurance they will need to do God's will.
Please continue to pray for the Geddes, Myers and the nationals that continue to throw the seeds of the gospel here in Galati.

Bogdon And His Family

This is Rebecca, Bogdon & Paula's newest member to their family ( 9 mo. old).

Andrew and I went to Bogdon and Paula's home while whitney attended a young women' Bible study at the Meyer's apartment. Above is a photo of the family.

Not to be out done, when we walked over to pick up Whitney, Randy returned the favor and gave me an apron from Galati alaong with a letter telling what moma's apron was used for in years gone by.

O' O', O' O'Riley Auto Parts...From Galati

After viviting the piata, Roland was searching for an antena for his van...so we went to one of the many auto supply stores to search for one. This particular one was across the street from the soccer stadium.

This ia a couple of the many supply shops facing the street (left). Once you went behind them there were stores on both side of this long street running the length of the shops (right).

Visiting One Of The Many Open Air Market

Roland came by the Training Center yesterday. It was really good to see him again and renew our friendship. We mentioned getting some produce and he said that he could take us to a piatsa if we had the time...we did. below are some random photos of our outing. (Note 3.3 lei = $1.00 and 1kg. =2.2 lbs.)
