...And On, And On!

This is a photo of my deck at 2:45 pm...quite a few more dots of sleet now, aye!

My Daffodils trying to weather the storm...

And the Karaokes, croaking!

NOPE! Old Man Winter Is Stil lHanging On!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, much to my dismay...the little dots on my deck are sleet pellets and the temperature on my thermometer is 30F (@ 8:30 am)!  I guess it could be worse,  in the Warrensburg area they are calling for six plus inches of snow.  I am soooo ready for Old Man Winter to let go and allow Spring to come immediately if not sooner!

Is It Spring Yet?!!

I snagged these photos of the perennial flowers beginning to come back to life after a cold winter.  All I can say is Spring can not get here soon enough.  My favorite season is just around the corner and I will soak up all the beauty it gives  me every year!

Seniors Honored At Last Home Event

Friday evening between the girl's and boy's basketball games, all the seniors (involved with the basketball program at CHS) were recognized. Megan was recognized for her involvement not only as a cheerleader but in other high school activities over the past four years. Above is a photo taken during the event. It seem just like yesterday she was just starting as a freshman in high school...time sure does pass quickly!

Thanksgiving in March

Photo taken during Thanksgiving break 2008

For me, as a believer (aka repent er) every day of my life is a day of thanksgiving.  But there are days when you are especially thankful...yesterday was one of those days.  Megan (blond) was involved in a head on automobile accident riding home with  Jocelyn (her friend) from NWMSU where they had attended a college visit on Friday and spent the night with Whitney.  The accident happened  just a few miles from home on a snowy morning just outside the small community of Osborn.  Jocelyn(traveling east) hit a slick patch on the highway, slid through the median and hit an oncoming car (traveling west).  All three involved in the crash walked away from the wreck with no serious injuries.   Lila and I know we can't be with our children all the time, but we are so thankful that God always is.
