Sunday, Team Three's First Day

Morning worship at Holy Trinity

Bogdon's daughter Gabriella readily accepts candy and gum...Bogdon looked at me and said what about me? Like daughter like father.

There was 32 at Gina's home last night for Bible study and prayer. American believers, Romanian believers, and Romanian Orthodox worshiped together with much discussion about the lesson.

This was the lesson Troy taught tonight. How appropriate...people (religious scholars of Jesus time) here have their physical sight, but spiritually they are totally blind just like the lesson.

Here is a photo of many of the people in zone 6 attending the Bible study.

Heading to see the training center in zone 6...Bogdon has really made this room a very nice place for the people to come for studies and prayer.

Here is an outside view of the training center. When the outside is completed, it will be all red brick. You can see the beginning stages at the bottom.

Breakfast this morning at the pizza and omlet cafe.

It was a great gathering at Gina's home last night...God is at work in the valley. There were six or so Orthodox neighbors of Gina that came back for the second week for Bible study (see Troy's blog Amazing Meeting in the Valley). Several are searching for the Jesus we have living in our lives. It is very humbling to see these people hungry to hear God Word...to be truly searching for something to add true meaning to their lives. A little earlier there was a study going on in zone 9; Mihi was teaching the second lesson to Catalin (last week Whit and I were there for lesson 1): The BIG security guard I spoke to the first week. Troy was able to speak to him for about twenty minutes (in English) and believes he is definitely searching for what life is really all about.

Our dance card is full today beginning with four blogging after breakfast and three prayer walking zone 9. Next, off to the training center in zone 9 with Troy for orientation for team three. Then a quick lunch, followed by an afternoon street evangelism in zone 6, dinner at Holy Trinity, and ending with street evangelism in zone 9. This will put us back at the hotel around 9 pm or so.

We thank you for your prayers as we talk to the people in zone 6 and 9 this week. There are several studies taking place that we are praying about...that God will work in these Romanian people to open the blind eyes. Since I have been over here I have made this commitment with God: I am ONLY interested in worshiping in a church that is mission minded!!! I believe it is extremely important to spread the Word at HOME, in our NATION...and in OTHER NATIONS!
