Above photo: I couldn't pass up this opportunity to get Alex in action. Here he is doing his laundry in the hotel sink...priceless!

Wednesday morning we went across the Danube River to a small village on the other side to hand out literature for the children and the adults living there. All were friendly and accepted it from us as we walked through the streets.

This was quite a week working on the streets in Galati in Z9. Every member of the team experienced growth in their walk with Jesus. Every encounter was not successful in man's definition, but in God's we were successful every time we spread the word with those we came incontact with. The above photo illustrates what we did every day we were in the city...we were the sowers of seeds. Some fell on rocky ground, some in shallow soil, some among the weeds, but some on good soil.
I have two favorite stories to share with you quickly. Yesterday Tracy, Alisa (17 year old translator), and I were walking down a street in Z9. Ahead was five or six young men standing in front of one of the apartments (one of them was REALLY RIPPED). Alisa ask me"Do you want to speak with them?" I replied, "I don't think so." So to clear my conscience, as we went by I said, "Do any of you speak English?" "Yes," replied one of them...yep... it was the real big man! His name is Cataline, and he is a secutity guard (aka. bouncer) at one of the casinos in Galati. He also speaks English as fluent as any of the interpiters. I shared Jesus with him, showed the scriptures with him and ended with Acts 17:32-34. He seemed to be interested with all I spoke to him about the scriptures. Then I ask him to answer this question (on the inside) which of the three groups do you fit into? He gave his telephone number and was interested in meeting for a coffee (imagine that) to go over lesson 1 in the John study.
The second happened this morning at the pizza/cafe where we have breakfast in the mornings. Two days ago we met the owner: A sweet lady who for some reason liked us almost immediatly. Anyway, Jay and I are standing in the doorway looking outside. He says,"You know we haven't been invited into anyone's house so far." As we looked out we see the owner comming and Jay says something like I would love to see her turn her life over to Christ. She comes in, gives us a hug and proceedes to invite the team to her house Saturday night for dinner. After a couple of phone calls, she has provided a translator, an address, phone number and a dinner time, 7 pm Saturday night. So team 2, you now have a dinner date the first full day in Galati.
I can do nothing but present the Word as I go into the city of Galati...it is crystal clear to me that the Holy Spirit goes ahead of me, dealing with those I come in contact with. Continue to pray for the people we will talk with as we spread the Word with the people here in Galati.

You know every time we go (for a minute I think) I can't imagine seeing God work any more miraculous than the time before, and then I remember "He is God", what were you thinking? It sounds like there are several seeds are being planted, and that many seeds that were planted before are beginning to be harvested.
I just saw the 2nd team off at church so here they come.
Byt the way, Nike is going to be jealous? See you all soon.
Well team two is officially at the airport and the van back at the church. Those kids (that includes Casey) were all so excited. They know that they have a lot of work to do but they are so willing to go and do it. God is an amazing God. Love you all. Miss most of you (LOL) And the Fantastic Four are on their way!!!
Lanny -- Debbie wants me to let you know she is reading the blogs every day, but can't comment because that is blocked on the computers at work...keep them coming! She loves reading about you and Whitney. She has even gone back and read all the other posts. She said to tell you she loves you both and is praying for you!!!
