The Commissioning At FBC

In the morning services (8 a.m. & 10:45 a.m.) today, eighteen followers of Jesus were commissioned to Romania from our church. Below are some photos of that service that took place in the 10:45 a.m. service. For the early service photos and story, check out this link: www.skiingbehindjesusboat.blogspot.com.

The photos (above) are from the Commissioning service

The deacons prayed for us during the service (above photos).

Each time we have left for Romania, our church family has commissioned us and we have felt God's hand on us and in the preparation before us in Romania. Again this past Sunday morning it suddenly became real that it is time to start packing. Mentally I have been preparing and praying, but the time is near! I guess it snuck up because I have a little more time than the others because we don't leave till July.

I want to thank Steve H. for the beautiful Commissioning Service God
laid on his heart. I hear the song was beautiful (no surprise there) and I can't wait to hear the recording of it.

Sending mission teams overseas is still new to our church family, and sending without prayer would not be following what we are told to do by the Father. However let us not forget those close to home who are also called to share the Good News. So as you pray for the teams leaving this summer, take this opportunity to start praying on a regular basis for all our missionaries wherever they are.

Again, Thank You for your Support.
