Brought Back To Reality

We went to the church in "The Valley" this morning.

The church is the white building in the upper right hand corner with all the glass. It sets at the top of the main pathway that people walk into and out of The Valley. It was probably in the mid 80's outside with a light breeze and quite a bit warmer inside...but the people came to worship inspite of the conditions. We sang, listened to the service in Romanian, and were able to read from our Bibles the scripture passages. We need to truly pray for our missionaries and their families while they are serving in foreign lands...Our team will experience this for only a short time but they live with it every day. It made me think to myself...I wonder how many of us attending church/church activities would continue to go if we were unable to understand what was going on. We pray shallow prayers to God about our missionsries in foreign lands instead of lifting them up in true communication with God (I am as guilty as the next person). They endure hardships not only on the field but ones they can do nothing about at home (except pray). I believe one of the essential things needed on the mission field is a connection from American churches to encourage our missionaries...I believe this is probably one of the most vital things our team can do.

As the Raines get ready to go on the mission field, how we need to begin praying for them right now for the strength and endurance they will need to do God's will.

Please continue to pray for the Geddes, Myers and the nationals that continue to throw the seeds of the gospel here in Galati.
