A Day In The Valley And An English Lesson

This is a great view of The Valley (Z6) where we went yesterday to walk the streets and share the gospel.
Some of the youth/adults from Prestonwood divided up into our teams and we took them with us to see how the work is done in the plan Troy has designed...The Galati Plan.
We encountered this old Romanian Orthodox man named Ariel sitting outside his home. Justin began to speak with him...then I ask him the five questions to find out where he is spiritually. When I ask him who was Jesus to him he said his savior and that he was going to Heaven. I ask him how he knew. and his reply was, because He lived inside his heart. I had Justin tell him that in six years speaking to people I had never had any one give this res ponce...he began to cry. He didn't have a Bible, so we left one and he was open to Bible studies in his home. Justin spoke to him a bit more then we left. He said that this man wasn't a believer yet (from what he gathered from their conversation) but he was very close. He need to study God's word a bit more (instead of doing what many American teams do...just say these words in this way and POW, you are a Child of God) and allow the Holy Spirit to work in his life. How tragic our thinking has become when we become more interested in numbers (of prayed prayers instead) of people being added to The Kingdom!
Inside a beautiful 161 year old Orthodox church being renovated in Z6. The man in the photo is the contractor in charge of doing these projects all over the city.
This is the same church on the outside. Reinforcing the foundation and outside walls with concrete before moving inside and renovating it.
A photo of the Orphans at Bethesda that Whitney and I are helping with their English. I don't know who is enjoying it more...them or us.

Lanny, you and Whitney are such a blessing, so many lives are touched by your presence here. Randy and I greatly appreciate the sacrifice you make taking time away from your family back at home, your prison ministry, church activities and your summer vacation to spend time working for God here in Galati. We love you. We also appreciate Andrew and the great help he has been assisting us with our computer needs.
